UNIUYO Vice-Chancellor Hands Over 10 Official Vehicles to Principal Officers, Senior Staff
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Prof. Christopher N. Ekong, has presented 10 brand-new official vehicles to principal officers and other senior officials of the University as part of efforts to improve administrative efficiency and staff welfare.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Prof. Christopher N. Ekong, has presented 10 brand-new official vehicles to principal officers and other senior officials of the University as part of efforts to improve administrative efficiency and staff welfare.
The presentation, held at the foyer of the Central Administrative Block on the University's Main Campus along Nwaniba Road, was witnessed by members of the University community.
Speaking to journalists at the ceremony, Prof. Ekong said the acquisition of the vehicles reflects the University's commitment to enhancing administrative operations by providing key officials with the mobility required for the effective discharge of their responsibilities.
He expressed confidence that the vehicles would improve efficiency in representation, coordination, and the day-to-day administration of the University across its campuses and other official engagements.
The beneficiaries include the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Enobong E. Ikpeme; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Iniobong Uko; the Bursar, Dr. Moses Akpan; the University Librarian, Dr. Thomas Adigun; the President of the UNIUYO Women Association, Mrs. Idara Ekong; the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Dianabasi Eduwem; the Dean of the Postgraduate School, Prof. Kenneth Opara; the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Prof. Ashong Ashong; the Abuja Liaison Office; while one vehicle was reserved for the University's Governing Council.
The recipients expressed appreciation to the University Management, describing the gesture as timely and a morale booster that would enhance productivity and improve the discharge of their official duties.
According to the University, the provision of the vehicles forms part of the ongoing efforts of the Prof. Christopher N. Ekong-led administration to strengthen infrastructure, improve staff welfare, and advance its renewal, restoration, and transformation agenda.
