University of Abuja Appoints Professor Ukertor Gabriel Moti as Director of Abuja Leadership Centre

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, has approved the appointment of Professor Ukertor Gabriel Moti as the Director of the Abuja Leadership Centre (ALC), a TETFUND Centre of Excellence in Leadership and Public Governance.

Professor Moti's appointment, which is for an initial period of two years, was conveyed in a letter dated January 10, 2025, and signed by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Islamiyat F. Abdulrahim.

A renowned expert in public sector management and governance, Professor Moti brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He is a certified management consultant, fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, and president of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria.

Professor Moti has a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Political and Administrative Studies from the University of Port Harcourt, a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Lagos, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration from the University of Benin.

As a widely traveled academic, Professor Moti has visited over 30 countries and has been involved in various international and national leadership and governance bodies. He is expected to bring his international exposure and experience to bear on the running of the Abuja Leadership Centre.
