University of Benin Teaching Hospital CMD Receives Ogbakha-Edo Association
The Ogbakha-Edo Association has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. (Mrs.) Idia N. Ize-Iyamu, to congratulate her on her appointment and to pledge their support for her administration.
The Ogbakha-Edo Association has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. (Mrs.) Idia N. Ize-Iyamu, to congratulate her on her appointment and to pledge their support for her administration.

Speaking during the visit, the President of the Association, Prof. Sam Guobadia, commended Prof. Ize-Iyamu on her emergence as CMD, describing her qualifications and character as befitting of the position. He further appreciated the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for recognizing and appointing competent leadership in the health sector.

In her remarks, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu expressed deep gratitude to the Association for their solidarity and goodwill. She noted that UBTH’s facilities, many of which were built over 52 years ago, are in need of major upgrades to meet present-day population demands and healthcare realities.

The CMD appealed to the Association, made up of distinguished sons of Edo State, to leverage their influence and networks in supporting the hospital.
