University of Calabar VC Vows to Deliver "Historic" 2026 NUGA Games

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) is preparing to host the 28th Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Games in 2026, with Vice-Chancellor Professor Offiong E. Offiong promising a historic and memorable event.

During a recent meeting with the NUGA 2026 consultant, Engineer Jorge Etibeng, and members of the UNICAL Sports Council, Professor Offiong emphasized the university’s determination to restore its rich sporting legacy. This highly anticipated event marks the first time UNICAL will host the national games since 1990.
