University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Announces 2026/2027 Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening Exercise

The management of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), formerly CRUTECH, has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry admission screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement is targeted at prospective candidates who selected the university as their first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 150 and above, as well as candidates willing to apply through a change of institution via the JAMB portal.

According to the official release, the online registration exercise will commence on Thursday, 21 May, 2026.

Eligibility for Admission

The university stated that eligible candidates include:

• UTME candidates who chose the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) as their first choice and scored a minimum of 150 in the 2026 UTME
• Candidates who did not initially select UNICROSS but are willing to effect a change of institution through the JAMB website to qualify for the screening exercise
• Direct Entry candidates who meet the required academic qualifications

Application Fee and Payment Method

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.00.

Payment can be made online via MasterCard, Visa, or Verve ATM cards, or through bank payment using the university’s online application portal.

Registration and Application Procedure

Candidates are to follow the steps below:

• Visit the UNICROSS Post-UTME portal: https://admissions.unicross.edu.ng
• Enter JAMB Registration Number in the “New Candidate” section and proceed to generate an E-PIN
• Verify personal details and update email address and phone number
• Complete payment via the secure payment gateway using card, bank transfer, or USSD
• Save the generated E-PIN for future login access
• Log in using the “Already Have an E-PIN” option
• Fill the application form and upload all required documents
• Review details carefully and submit application
• Print acknowledgment slip after successful submission

Important Notices

The university emphasized that:

• Only candidates who scored 150 and above and selected UNICROSS as first choice are eligible
• Candidates who did not select UNICROSS must complete a change of institution via JAMB
• Physical presence is not required for the screening exercise
• Candidates must ensure accurate documentation and correct contact details during registration
• Uploaded documents must not be less than 50KB in size
