University of Jos Releases Proposed Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 Session

The Directorate of Academic Planning and Management at the University of Jos has published the proposed academic calendar for the 2024/2025 undergraduate session.

The calendar outlines key dates for the first and second semesters, including:

First Semester:

- September 23, 2024: Online orientation for fresh students

- September 26, 2024: Registration of fresh students

- September 30, 2024: Registration of returning students

- October 7, 2024: Commencement of lectures

- October 11, 2024: End of registration

- October 14, 2024: Beginning of late registration

- October 18, 2024: End of late registration

- October 24, 2024: Matriculation of fresh students

- December 23, 2024 - January 5, 2025: Christmas break

Second Semester:

- March 3, 2025: Commencement of lectures

- May 30, 2025: End of lectures/revision

- June 2, 2025: Commencement of examinations

- June 21, 2025: End of examinations

- July 12, 2025: Faculty boards meet to consider results

- August 12, 2025: Senate meets to consider and approve results

- August 15, 2025: End of session

The calendar also highlights important dates for industrial attachment, teaching practice, and academic staff annual leave.
