University of Maiduguri Acting VC Visits UMTH to Assess Flood Damage

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, visited the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) to offer sympathies to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) and management over the recent devastating flood incident.

During the visit, Prof. Mele assessed the College of Medical Sciences, located within the UMTH premises, to determine the extent of damage caused by the flood. He was accompanied by the University's Registrar, Ahmad Alhaji Lawan.

The visit aimed to show solidarity with the hospital's management and staff, as well as to evaluate the impact of the flood on the university's facilities. The assessment will inform the university's response and support to the hospital's recovery efforts.
