University of Maiduguri Hosts NUC Accreditation Team for BSc Biotechnology and BSc Nutrition and Dietetics

The University of Maiduguri, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, welcomed a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

The NUC team, led by Professors Chris Nwani from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Ignatius Onimawo from Ave Maria University, Pianko, Abuja, conducted an accreditation exercise for the university's BSc Biotechnology and BSc Nutrition and Dietetics programs.

The Vice-Chancellor was assisted by key university officials, including the Registrar, Bursar, Librarian, Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Department. This accreditation exercise is a critical step in ensuring the quality and standards of the university's academic programs.
