University of Maiduguri Outlines 2025/2026 Registration and Physical Screening Guidelines

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has released official guidelines for all candidates admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session, covering both the mandatory physical screening exercise and the subsequent online registration process. 

The guidelines emphasize a structured, two-step approach to ensure all admissions and registrations are properly verified and documented.

All prospective students are required to report for physical screening in person. A critical requirement for this stage is the presentation of original copies of all relevant academic and personal documents for verification. Only original documents will be accepted, photocopies alone will not suffice and will not be accepted. 

Upon successful completion of the physical screening and confirmation of clearance, candidates will proceed to the university’s official online portal at https://umstad.online to finalize their registration. 

The online process is detailed as follows:

Candidates must use their unique JAMB Registration Number as their username. The default password is umstad@2026.

After logging in, students gain access to the payment section to make the prescribed registration payment.

A unique student ID number will be automatically generated once payment is confirmed as successful, confirming eligibility to proceed.

Candidates must complete all remaining sections of the online registration form on the portal.

Students who wish to apply for on-campus housing must purchase a separate hostel pin from the designated Microfinance Bank and return to the portal to validate it before booking a room based on availability. 

The university advises all candidates to follow these procedures diligently to ensure a smooth transition into the new academic session.
