UNIZIK Appoints Dr. Moses Ikegbunam as Representative for Excell-Malaria Grant

The Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, under the leadership of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, has appointed Dr. Moses Ikegbunam of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology as the University’s Representative for the Excell-Malaria Grant.

According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke, and dated October 22, 2025, the appointment was made following a transparent internal evaluation process conducted by the Directorate of Grants Development and Management Office, in line with the criteria set by the funding body.

Prof. Arinze-Umobi congratulated Dr. Ikegbunam on his appointment and extended her best wishes to him as he takes on the new role, expressing confidence in his capacity to represent the University effectively on the international research platform.
