UNIZIK Appoints New Substantive Registrar

The Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has appointed Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke as the substantive Registrar of the institution.

The appointment was made during the Council’s 18th Emergency Meeting, chaired by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Barr. Olugbenga Kukoyi, at the Council Chambers.

Following a rigorous and transparent screening exercise on August 15, 2025, the Governing Council received and considered the report of the joint Council/Senate Selection Board and confirmed Dr. Okeke as Registrar.

According to her letter of appointment signed by the Chairman of Council, Dr. Okeke’s appointment takes effect from Monday, August 18, 2025.

Before this elevation, she served as the Deputy Registrar in the Senate Unit of the University.
