Usmanu Danfodiyo University to Host 30th Induction Ceremony for Veterinary Graduands

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), is set to host the 30th Swearing-in Ceremony for the 2023/2024 graduating class of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria and will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the University Auditorium, Main Campus, starting by 10:00 AM prompt.

The ceremony will be chaired by Prof. Aminu Abubakar, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashiru Garba, will serve as the Chief Host, while Prof. Aliyu Jibril, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, will serve as Host, and Prof. Mathew Adamu as Co-Host. The event will also feature Dr. Yakubu Shaba as the Guest Speaker.

Special guests expected at the ceremony include Alh. Muhammad Bello Wamakko, the event’s Special Guest of Honour, and Alh. Suleiman S. Fulani, the Distinguished Guest of Honour. The Royal Father of the Day is His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto.

The ceremony aims to formally induct the graduating class of veterinary students into the profession, marking an important milestone in their careers.
