Yobe State University Schedules Matriculation for March 31; Issues Guidelines for Academic Gown Collection

The management of Yobe State University (YSU), through its Students' Affairs Division, has officially slated the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students to hold on Tuesday, 31st March 2026.

The ceremony marks the formal induction of all fresh students at the 100 level and 200 level (Direct Entry) into the university community.

Gown Collection and Logistics

In an official circular signed by the Students Affairs Officer, Gambo A. Ali, the university directed all matriculating students to proceed to the Bursary for the collection of academic gowns. The collection window, which opened on Thursday, 26th March, is scheduled to conclude on Monday, 30th March 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Fees and Return Policy

Collection Cost: Academic gowns are available at a fee of ₦500.

Return Deadline: Students are required to return the gowns on or before Tuesday, 7th April 2026, immediately following the conclusion of the event.

Penalties: The university management emphasized that failure to return the gowns within the stipulated timeframe will attract a penalty of ₦1,000.

All newly admitted students are advised to adhere strictly to these guidelines to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated matriculation exercise.
