Abia State University (ABSU) has elevated 17 senior academics to the rank of Professor and 24 others to the rank of Reader following decisions reached at its 160th Regular Governing Council meeting.

The promotions were based on reports from external assessors and recommendations of the Appointments and Promotions Committee (Academic), in line with the university’s commitment to academic excellence and staff development.
