Oduwole made the assertion while receiving members of the Nigerian Library Association, Oyo State Chapter, during a courtesy visit to her office.
Addressing the delegation, which included the University Librarian Bose Ajiboye, the Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to sustained investment in library development, positioning it as a core driver of academic excellence and research output. She also commended Ajiboye for her professional contributions, describing her as a key asset to the university system.
Oduwole further expressed alignment with the objectives of the association, noting that collaboration with professional bodies remains critical to maintaining standards in library and information services.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the association, Olugbenga Adeyi, acknowledged the university’s consistent support and engagement with the association’s programmes, describing the institution as a dependable partner in advancing librarianship.
He also praised the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership and commitment to strengthening library infrastructure and services within the university.
The visit featured the decoration of the Vice-Chancellor with the association’s lapel, symbolising recognition of her contributions to library development.

Other officials present included Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Olukayode Binuyo, Acting Head of the Department of Library and Information Science Olutoyin Oso, and executive members of the association’s Oyo State chapter.
