The Vice-Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, has officially announced the promotion of nine academic staff members after their successful completion of external assessment exercises.

The announcement was made during the 134th meeting of the University Senate on Thursday, 29th January 2026, at the Senate Chamber.

Promotions Overview:

Professors: Three staff members were elevated to the rank of Professor:

Dr. Stephen Aduwamai Lagu – Linguistics

Dr. Zainab Buba Mshelia – Ecology

Dr. Donald Zira John – Numerical Analysis

Associate Professors (Readers): Six staff members were promoted to Associate Professor:

Dr. Asiyina Elihu – Parasitology and Public Health

Dr. Mauda Ahmed – Taxation
