The meeting, held on March 23, 2026, featured the presentation and adoption of the society’s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, alongside a comprehensive review of its operations.
Presenting the management report, the President of the cooperative, Dr. Oluranti Adeyemi Olajuyigbe, described the AGM as a defining moment, noting that it marks the second such gathering since the inauguration of the current management team in April 2024.
She acknowledged the resilience of members amid prevailing economic pressures, describing the past year as one of both challenges and measurable progress. According to her, sustained commitment from stakeholders has enabled the society to remain stable while continuing to deliver value to its members.
The report also highlighted developments in membership expansion, financial performance, and dividend distribution. Operational activities during the period included the sale of food items, electrical appliances, and household goods, contributing to revenue growth.

Looking ahead, Dr. Olajuyigbe outlined priority areas for the incoming management team, including intensified membership drives, expansion of the society’s water production facility, development of block-making ventures, diversification into additional income streams, and full digitalisation of records.
She expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bayode Isaiah Popoola, and the university management for their continued support, which she said has been instrumental to the society’s operations.
The cooperative also acknowledged the presence and support of the Ondo State Director of Cooperative Services, Braiye Felix, officials from the Ministry of Industries and Cooperative Services, and representatives of commercial banks at the event.
The AGM, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium, attracted participants from across academic, professional, and financial sectors, reflecting the society’s broad stakeholder engagement.
