Age is No Barrier: 81-Year-Old Joseph Aheto Earns MBA from University of Cape Coast

In a historic and emotional ceremony, 81-year-old Mr. Joseph Ocloo Aheto graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprise Development from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in December 2025. 

The milestone took place during the 9th session of the university's 58th Congregation, where the octogenarian was personally congratulated by his son, Professor Denis Worlanyo Aheto, who currently serves as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution. 

Mr. Aheto expressed immense pride in the unique moment of having his own son preside over his graduation ceremony, stating, "I feel very much excited to have my own son graduating me today". 

Addressing the press, Mr. Aheto emphasized that education has no expiry date and encouraged others to pursue their dreams regardless of their stage in life. His achievement has been widely celebrated across Ghana and educational circles as a profound testament to the power of lifelong learning and resilience.
