Ahmadu Bello University Commissions Three New Projects

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has commissioned three new projects on its Samaru and Kongo campuses. The projects, which include a 300-seater capacity twin theatre, a multipurpose hall, and a leadership centre, were commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

 

Prof. Bala expressed his delight with the projects, stating that their designs conform to the university's master plan. He also commended the Physical Planning and Municipal Services (PP&MS) department for their work on the projects.

The PP&MS department has been instrumental in designing and developing various infrastructure projects on the university's campuses. According to Prof. Bala, the department is responsible for maintaining all university buildings and properties.

 

The commissioning ceremony was attended by several high-ranking university officials, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Prof. Raymond Bako, and the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Design, Prof. Abdullahi Abubakar.
