Ahmadu Bello University Launches 2026 Advanced Certificate Courses in Procurement and Sustainability

The Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement Centre of Excellence (SPESSECE) at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced a call for applications for its 2026 Advanced Certificate Courses.

These courses are designed to strengthen professional capacity in procurement, environmental sustainability, and social development, targeting professionals across government institutions, development projects, and the private sector. The programme is supported by the World Bank.

Programme Overview:

• Track B delivery: The programme combines classroom lectures and industrial attachment to ensure both theoretical understanding and practical experience.
• Duration: Three weeks (two weeks of lectures, one week of industrial attachment)
• Tuition: Public sector participants attend free of charge; private sector participants pay ₦50,000.

Course Schedule and Venues:

• Advanced Certificate in Procurement Management – Abuja Centre, 23 March to 10 April 2026, daily at 9:00 a.m.
• Sustainable Environmental Studies & Sustainable Social Development Studies – April to June 2026 at centres in Abuja, Katsina, and Kano

Eligibility:
The training is open to:

• Accounting officers and chief executives of government institutions
• Procurement practitioners and tender board members
• Project managers, engineers, auditors, and legal practitioners
• Other professionals involved in procurement, sustainability, and development projects
