Ajayi Crowther University New VC Commences Familiarisation Tour, Outlines 30-Point Agenda
The Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Prof. Ebunoluwa Olufemi Oduwole, has commenced a familiarisation tour of the University, visiting the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, ACU Radio, and the Faculty of Engineering.

At the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Prof. Oduwole was warmly received by the Dean, Prof. Alabi, Heads of Departments, and staff. She addressed challenges related to result uploads and transcript processing, directing the Director of ICT to assign two staff members to each of the University’s 12 faculties to manage these matters effectively.
Responding to a request from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Popoola, for solar power provision at the faculty, the Vice-Chancellor assured that the matter would be considered. She also promised that issues regarding imprest allocations to relevant offices would be resolved soon.
Additionally, she instructed all academic staff to register with Google Scholar, LinkedIn, Academia.edu, and ResearchAid by the end of the week to enhance the University’s academic visibility and professional networking. On staffing, Prof. Oduwole cautioned against unnecessary recruitment to protect her proposal for salary increases to the Governing Council.
During her visit to ACU Radio, the Vice-Chancellor went on air to outline her 30-point agenda for the University over the next five years, emphasizing that achieving these goals requires all staff to actively participate as stakeholders in the University’s collective vision.

Her tour continued at the Faculty of Engineering, where she was received by the Dean, Prof. Ademola Akinwonmi, and staff. She reiterated her directive for all staff to complete registration on the four professional and academic platforms within the week, underscoring her commitment to strengthening the University’s academic profile and visibility.
