Akinde Officially Appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Ilaro

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Mukail Aremu AKINDE, FCA, FCTI, ACIS., and other Principal Officers of the institution have formally received their letters of appointment from the Federal Ministry of Education. 

The letters dated 9th February, 2026 specified the appropriate nomenclature of the Principal Officers of the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro as listed in the latter part of this release.

The formal issuance and presentation of these letters confirmed the full recognition of the institution as Federal University of Technology, Ilaro. 

The appointments are as indicated below:

1. Acting Vice- Chancellor : Dr. Akinde Mukail Aremu FCA, FCTI, ACIS. 

2. Registrar : Mrs Babatola Aderonke Folasade    

3. Bursar - Dr. Akinola, Moruf Abiodun, FCA., and

4. The University Librarian : Dr. Atulomah Bola Christy

You may wish to recall that The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro was, in May 2025, converted to Federal University of Technology Ilaro, which reinforces the Federal

Government’s commitment to technological advancement, academic excellence, and institutional growth.

With this development, the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro, begins a new chapter, driven by innovation, research advancement, global competitiveness, and strengthened administrative leadership.
