AKSU Gets NUC Approval for Faculty of Law

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to establish a Faculty of Law, offering a full-time Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme at its Main Campus from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The approval follows a resource verification exercise by NUC, assessing AKSU's staffing, infrastructure, and resources. The Faculty of Law will comprise three departments: Private and Property Law, Jurisprudence and International Law, and Commercial and Industrial Law.

This development marks a significant milestone under Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor OtoAbasi E. Akpan's leadership, who has also facilitated the creation of other faculties and institutes.
