Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Mandates Project Registration with NERD for NYSC Clearance

Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has directed all HND II students who have defended their projects, as well as all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), to register their academic projects with the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD).

This registration is now a mandatory requirement to process the NERD clearance, which is necessary for participation in the NYSC Orientation Camp.

The Deputy Registrar (Students’ Affairs), Nathaniel Ibanga, stated that the registration process will commence on Tuesday, 6th January 2026, and urged all affected students to comply promptly to avoid any delays in accessing the NYSC orientation. The directive is in line with the Polytechnic’s efforts to streamline project documentation and ensure compliance with national education standards.

The Polytechnic further emphasized that students should treat the notice as a priority and complete their registration within the stipulated timelines.
