Arewa Female Students Association Honors KHAIRUN Vice-Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), Professor Abdulrashid Garba, received a courtesy visit from members of the Arewa Female Students Association (AFSA) on Friday, 31st October 2025, at his office, according to Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, Acting Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing.

The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), Professor Abdulrashid Garba, received a courtesy visit from members of the Arewa Female Students Association (AFSA) on Friday, 31st October 2025, at his office, according to Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, Acting Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing.

Led by Miss Mardiyya Muhammad, President of AFSA, the delegation commended Professor Garba for his exemplary leadership, commitment to education, and unwavering support for the advancement of women and girl-child education in Northern Nigeria.

During the visit, the association presented Professor Garba with a Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to education, mentorship, and youth empowerment. He was also conferred with the honorary title of Patron of the Arewa Female Students Association.

Miss Muhammad highlighted that the Vice-Chancellor embodies a true role model, whose vision, humility, and dedication inspire students—particularly female scholars—to pursue excellence and leadership with integrity.

He commended AFSA for its noble objectives and pledged KHAIRUN’s continued partnership in promoting gender inclusiveness and educational empowerment.
