ASUU Strike: Federal Government Reconstitutes Committee to Fast-Track Talks with Tertiary Institution Unions

The Federal Government has reconstituted and inaugurated the Mahmud Yayale Ahmed Federal Government Tertiary Institutions Expanded Negotiation Committee.

The committee's mandate is to accelerate ongoing discussions with academic and non-academic unions across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

The move aims to address pressing issues and improve the working conditions of staff in tertiary institutions. The committee is expected to engage with relevant stakeholders, negotiate agreements, and recommend measures to enhance the overall quality of education in Nigeria.
