ATBUTH Honors 120 Exceptional Staff Members for Outstanding Service Delivery
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) has recognized and honored 120 exceptional staff members for their outstanding service delivery in 2024.
The ceremony, which took place on January 3, 2025, was an end-of-year celebration to appreciate the exemplary contributions of staff members throughout the year. The event reflected the hospital administration's dedication to staff welfare and acknowledged individuals who demonstrated remarkable commitment to their roles.
During the ceremony, the Chief Medical Director, Professor Yusuf Bara Jibrin, highlighted notable accomplishments achieved by the hospital in 2024. These included the successful implementation of e-health software, the establishment of a responsive ambulance service, and the introduction of home-based geriatric care for elderly patients.
The hospital also made significant strides in infrastructure development, with ongoing expansions at the ATBU Gubi Campus, and secured a capacity-building grant for vaccine clinical trials.
Professor Jibrin emphasized the importance of collective effort and commitment to the hospital's vision, stating, "Let no one say it cannot be done; rather, let us demonstrate that together, we can and will achieve our goals."
The ceremony concluded with a call to action, urging staff members to continue striving for excellence in service delivery despite the challenges facing the hospital.
