Babcock University has categorically refuted a circulating video that falsely purported to show a female student linked to an aborted fetus.

The university clarified that investigations confirmed the incident did not occur on campus, involved no student of Babcock University, and that the visuals bear no resemblance to any part of the institution.

Describing the video as misleading, defamatory, and malicious, the university emphasized that the content was intended to tarnish its reputation. As a Christian institution under the Seventh-day Adventist faith, Babcock University condemned acts involving the termination of pregnancy or the taking of human life, affirming that such actions are incompatible with its moral and ethical code.

The statement further called on the public to disregard the fabricated video and refrain from spreading unverified content. The university reiterated its commitment to truth, transparency, and Christian ethics, urging responsible media reporting and public discernment.

The release, dated October 24, 2025, was signed by Dr. Joshua Suleiman, Director of Marketing and Communications, Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, and reaffirmed the institution’s standing as a globally respected centre of learning.
