Crescent University, Abeokuta has commenced a three-day arbitration training programme at its Bola Ajibola College of Law (BACOLAW) in collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, aimed at equipping students with professional dispute resolution competencies.

Crescent University, Abeokuta has commenced a three-day arbitration training programme at its Bola Ajibola College of Law (BACOLAW) in collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, aimed at equipping students with professional dispute resolution competencies.

The training, which brings together 400-level and final-year law students, is part of an annual capacity-building initiative designed to expose future legal practitioners to arbitration practice and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

As part of the programme, the NICArb delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, alongside other principal officers of the university.

The team, led by NICArb Registrar Shola Oshodi-John, commended the university’s management for expanding the Bola Ajibola College of Law and increasing its admission quota to 120 students.

She also reflected on previous engagements with the institution, recalling interactions with the late founder, Prince Bola Ajibola, noting that the arbitration certification programme remains a key legacy initiative of his vision for legal education.

She further praised the university for sustaining standards in legal training and maintaining continuity in arbitration education, describing Crescent University as a consistent contributor to professional legal development in Nigeria.

Crescent University, Abeokuta reaffirmed its commitment to producing ethically grounded legal professionals, stating that partnerships such as this remain central to its mission of strengthening practical legal training and dispute resolution capacity among students.
