Benson Idahosa University Set for Continental and Cross Collaboration with the State of Israel, Hosts Israeli Ambassador

In a significant move aimed at fostering innovation and development, the Benson Idahosa University (BIU) played host to the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nigeria, Ambassador Micheal Freeman, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

The occasion was the 5th Edition of the University's International Idea Leadership Exchange (ILIX), a forum designed to bridge global ideas with local talent.

During the programme, Ambassador Freeman unveiled a series of groundbreaking international and cross-continental collaborations between Israel and the university. The partnerships are set to span several critical fields, leveraging Israeli expertise to address key challenges.

The announced collaborations include: Solar Energy with the Faculty of Engineering, GreenHouse Technology with the Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technologies, Medical Innovations with the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences & College of Medicine."
