Bingham University to Host New FRSC Operational Unit to Boost Road Safety

The State Coordinator of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Hon. Aliyu Dodo, and his team recently visited Bingham University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba, to appreciate the institution's community service efforts, particularly its staff members who are members of the Road Safety Marshals.

Dodo announced that Bingham University will be given one Operational Unit due to its growing population and the increased human activities in the area. The unit will be taken out of the two proposed new units to be created in Nasarawa State. He commended the university's marshals for their service and emphasized the importance of corporate social responsibility in nation-building.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Haruna Kuje Ayuba expressed gratitude for the approval and pledged the university's continued support, highlighting its mission of teaching, research, and community service. He requested the Federal Road Safety Corps to consider building a pedestrian bridge at the Bingham University Junction to enhance safety.
