The Deanery of Student Affairs at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has vehemently condemned an incident of character assassination directed at a former Dean of Student Affairs (DSA). The disclaimer, issued on January 24, 2026, addresses a post made by a former student on a Facebook page named "BUK Chat Zone."

Signed by the current Dean, Professor Mukhtar Ridwan Bumza, the statement described the former Dean as a "remarkable and incorruptible gentleman with reputation for hard work, integrity and selflessness." Professor Bumza highlighted that the former Dean's dedication was the foundation upon which current successes are built and that an attack on his person is unacceptable.
