BUK Establishes Career Service Centre

The Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, has urged students to utilize the services and resources available at the newly commissioned Career Service Centre, sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that the centre will provide students with the tools necessary to excel in their chosen fields. "From internships to networking opportunities, this centre will equip our students with personalized mentoring and counseling to guide them in making decisions and pursuing their dreams," he revealed.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Implementation Committee, Professor Sani Muhammad Gumel, explained that he was tasked with establishing the centre's modalities. He acknowledged the contributions of committee members, including Professor Mahmoud Umar Sani, Dr. Kabiru Dahiru Abbas, Barrister Hadiza, and Malam Haruna Aliyu.

Professor Gumel noted that this centre is an addition to the university's existing 18 centres.

In his vote of thanks, the Director of the centre, Professor Ahmed Iliyasu, expressed his gratitude to the University Management for entrusting him to serve as the pioneer Director.
