BUK Updates Students on Delayed NELFUND Allowances

The Office of the NELFUND Ambassador at Bayero University Kano (BUK) has informed students of a temporary delay in the disbursement of the December and January upkeep allowances from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The delay is due to a mismatch in academic sessions: while NELFUND has moved into the 2025–2026 academic session, BUK continues to operate under the 2024–2025 session.

To address the issue, BUK management has formally communicated the university’s current academic calendar to NELFUND and submitted an extension letter clarifying the institution’s academic status. NELFUND has acknowledged receipt of these communications and is actively working to resolve the discrepancy.
