Caleb University Partners Lagos First Lady for 2026 Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign
Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, has announced a strategic partnership with the Office of the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, for the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking campaign.

The initiative was strengthened during a high-level engagement between the First Lady and a delegation from the university led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, at the Lagos State House.
The campaign is aimed at mobilising young people and the wider society against substance abuse while promoting mental health awareness, healthy lifestyles, responsible citizenship, and community engagement.

The event is expected to bring together stakeholders including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), policymakers, health professionals, security agencies, education leaders, corporate organisations, community representatives, staff, students, and members of the public.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, extended an open invitation to members of the university community and the general public, describing the campaign as a collective effort to combat drug abuse and safeguard the future of young people.
He emphasized that sustained awareness and collaboration remain critical tools in addressing the growing challenge of substance abuse in society.
