Centre for Political Issues Assembles Experts to Analyze 2025 Budget at Caleb University

The Centre for Political Issues and Economic Thoughts at Caleb University, Lagos, is set to host its second webinar series, bringing together experts to analyze Nigeria’s 2025 Budget and its implications for national development.
The hybrid event, themed “Nigeria’s 2025 Budget and Socio-Economic Development Agenda: The Way Forward,” is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2025. It will feature keynote addresses from Prof. Rauf Aregbesola, a renowned Development Economics/Development Finance scholar from the University of South Africa, and Dr. Abiodun Adedipe of BAA Consult, Lagos.
Speaking on the significance of the webinar, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Caleb University, Prof. Sunday Adewale, emphasized that the session aims to provide a platform for scholars, academics, and the general public to critically examine the 2025 Budget and offer expert insights that would contribute to nation-building.
Similarly, the Director of the Centre for Political Issues and Economic Thoughts, Dr. Samuel Idowu, highlighted the importance of discussing the appropriation bill at this critical time. He noted that the Centre recognizes the budget’s pivotal role in shaping national development and believes that fostering dialogue around it is essential.
