Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Appoints New Heads of Departments for 2025/2026 Academic Year

The Management of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has announced the appointment and reappointment of Heads and Acting Heads of Departments for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, stated that the appointments take effect from Friday, August 22, 2025. She expressed appreciation to the outgoing Heads and Acting Heads of Departments for their contributions to the growth of the University during the 2024/2025 academic year, while congratulating those newly appointed.

According to the announcement by Dr. Harrison Madubueze, mnipr, Public Relations Officer of the University, all outgoing Heads and Acting Heads are to prepare their handover, including bank statements, and transmit them to their successors on or before 4:00pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

He further disclosed that all financial expenses and bank transactions are suspended with immediate effect, while the outgoing Heads must forward detailed administrative and financial handover notes to the Office of the Vice Chancellor by Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
