CUSTECH Pro-Chancellor Leads Delegation to Visit the Chancellor in Ekpoma
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Emeritus Professor Olu Obafemi, has today 14th October,2025, led a high-powered delegation of the University’s Governing Council members and the Vice Chancellor on a courtesy visit to the Chancellor of the University, His Royal Highness, Anthony Ehizogie ABUMERE II, the Onojie of Ekpoma Kingdom, in his palace in Ekpoma, Edo State.
In his address, the Pro-Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Olu Obafemi, formally congratulated His Royal Highness on his appointment as the Pioneer Chancellor of CUSTECH. He expressed confidence that the Chancellor, together with the Governing Council and the University Management, would work in harmony to propel the institution to an enviable height among the league of science and technology universities in Nigeria.
In his gracious response, the Onojie of Ekpoma Kingdom and Chancellor of CUSTECH, His Royal Highness Anthony Ehizogie ABUMERE II, expressed his profound appreciation for the courtesy visit. He assured the delegation of his unwavering commitment to working as a team with the Governing Council and Management to add significant value to the University.
The Chancellor further commended the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his massive investment in the infrastructure of the university which he said all hands must be on deck to protect.He extolled the Governor's steadfast commitment and support towards the advancement of education, particularly at CUSTECH Osara.
Emphasizing his deep interest in the institution's progress, the Chancellor stated, “I am deeply interested in the growth and development of this University. With the support of the Governing Council members and the management team, we will work assiduously towards attaining that shared vision.”He used the occasion to admonish members of the Governing Council on sundry issues that can foster harmonious relationship.
