Delta State Government Commissions New 54-Room Hostel at Admiralty University of Nigeria, Ibusa

The Delta State Government has officially commissioned and handed over a state-of-the-art 54-room hostel facility to the Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) in Ibusa, marking a significant boost to educational infrastructure in the state.

The commissioning ceremony, held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, was performed on behalf of the Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, by the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele.

In his address, Commissioner Godknows Angele lauded Governor Oborevwori for his dedication to completing the vital project, which was originally initiated in 2023 under the previous administration.

"This state-of-the-art 54-room hostel underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to improving educational infrastructure and enhancing the learning environment for students across Delta State," Hon. Angele stated.

The Commissioner emphasized that the facility is a testament to the government’s resolve to prioritize student welfare and the overall quality of higher education. He was accompanied by key officials from the Ministry of Housing,

The Vice Chancellor of ADUN, Prof. CBN Ogbogbo, expressed profound gratitude to the Delta State Government for its support, describing the newly commissioned hostel as a "valuable and timely addition" to the university’s existing facilities.

The formal handover and ceremonial cutting of the tape by Hon. Angele marked the official opening of the facility. The proceedings also included a facility tour led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor.
