Ekiti State University (EKSU) has announced that the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony for all newly admitted students will take place on Friday, 6th February 2026, at the University Main Auditorium by 10:00 a.m.

Ekiti State University (EKSU) has announced that the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony for all newly admitted students will take place on Friday, 6th February 2026, at the University Main Auditorium by 10:00 a.m.

The University emphasized that matriculation is mandatory. Any student who fails to participate will be deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn from the institution.

Freshmen are advised to observe the following:

  1. Collection of robes: Candidates should collect their academic gowns from their Faculty Officers on Thursday, 5th February 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Robes must be returned in good condition to the collection centre by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, 9th February 2026. Late returns will incur a N500 fine per day, and damaged or lost robes must be paid for in full.
  2. Required documents: Original Letter of Admission and Evidence of Registration must be presented before robe collection.
  3. Dress code: Male students should wear suits under academic gowns; female students are advised to wear their own robes over reasonably long-sleeve English dresses.
  4. Preparation: Faculty Officers will make the Matriculation digest available. Guests should be seated by 9:00 a.m., and all fully-robed students must be in their seats for the Academic Procession by 9:30 a.m.
  5. Post-ceremony formalities: Students must sign the Matriculation Register at their Faculty Offices and submit their Matriculation Oath.
