Fali, Betso and Mayo Bani Unity Forum Pays Courtesy Visit to Modibbo Adama University

A delegation from the Fali, Betso and Mayo Bani Unity Forum of Mubi North and South, Adamawa State, paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The visit was aimed at expressing gratitude to the university management, particularly Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibrahim Umar, for creating an environment that enabled Professor Iliyasu Audu to be elected as the new Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics).

Deacon Joshua Dauda Atiku, speaking on behalf of the delegation, commended the Vice Chancellor for his fairness and humble leadership. He emphasized that the Unity Forum has high expectations of Professor Audu and urged him to serve with integrity in supporting the university's administration.

The delegation assured the Vice Chancellor of their continued support for the university's objectives, stating that the appointment would further strengthen unity among their people. As a token of appreciation, the delegation presented gifts to both the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics).

In his response, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibrahim Umar expressed gratitude for the visit and acknowledged its significance. He highlighted that Professor Audu is the first individual from the northern part of Adamawa State to hold the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics). The Vice Chancellor urged the delegation to continue praying for their son and for the university's success.
