Federal Ministry of Health Approves Readiness for Medical Training at FUTMinna and FMC Bida
The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna), is set to commence clinical training for its medical students following a comprehensive facility assessment by the Federal Ministry of Health. The evaluation, conducted on December 19 and 20, 2025, verified the readiness of both the University and its proposed teaching hospital, the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida.
The Ministry’s delegation, led by the Director of Hospital Services, Dr. Jimoh Olawale Salaudeen, mni, expressed high confidence in the institutions' capabilities. Following a two-day inspection of manpower and equipment, Dr. Salaudeen affirmed that the medical program is prepared to launch, praising FUTMinna’s world-class laboratory infrastructure and dedicated student housing.
"The level of preparedness, the quality of equipment, and the zeal demonstrated by both institutions confirm that medical training is ready to begin," Dr. Salaudeen stated. He specifically lauded the University’s conducive learning environment and the presence of high-profile leadership throughout the exercise.
