Federal Polytechnic Ayede to Host High-Impact Scopus Publications Webinar

In a strategic effort to elevate research standards and global visibility, the Centre for Research Development, Innovation and Grant Management of Federal Polytechnic Ayede will host a webinar titled “Publishing in Scopus Indexed Journals and Its Benefits to Researchers and the Institution at Large” on Monday, 2nd March 2026 at 2:00 PM WAT via Google Meet.

The event, spearheaded by the visionary Rector, Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed (FNSE), underscores the Polytechnic’s commitment to fostering a robust research culture, enhancing scholarly productivity, and strengthening international collaborations. Under his leadership, the institution is fast establishing itself as a center for technical innovation and academic excellence in Nigeria and beyond.

The keynote lecture will be delivered by Professor Atilade Adedeji of the Department of Biology, Virginia Union University, Richmond, VA. A globally recognized scholar, Professor Adedeji will provide practical insights into navigating Scopus-indexed journals, maximizing research impact, and leveraging publications for professional and institutional growth. His participation highlights the Polytechnic’s expanding international networks and commitment to research capacity building.

Convening the webinar is Dr. Kehinde A. Odelade, Acting Director of the Centre for Research Development, Innovation and Grant Management, whose office actively promotes grant acquisition, innovation-driven research, and scholarly excellence across the Polytechnic.
