The Rector, Dr. Victor Okolobah, together with the principal officers of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, carried out an inspection tour of the institution’s medical centre and other key facilities aimed at strengthening infrastructure and advancing the school’s statutory mandate.

The leadership reiterated its commitment to purpose-driven management, emphasizing the need to provide an environment that inspires staff and students to align with the polytechnic’s mission of delivering quality technical education. Dr. Okolobah noted that the current drive is focused on repositioning the polytechnic for sustainable growth and recognition.

During the tour, the team inspected the new library complex, which is expected to enhance students’ access to quality academic resources. The medical centre was also a major point of focus, as plans are underway to ensure it meets the healthcare needs of both staff and students, as well as residents of the surrounding community.
Public Relations Officer, Anthony Ogbe, commended the proactive steps of the management, describing them as a clear indication that the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas is on the path to becoming a renowned institution for academic and professional excellence.
