Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti Appoints Dr. Olagoke Erinomo as Acting CMD

The Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), has officially announced the appointment of Dr. Olagoke Erinomo as its Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD), effective January 1, 2026.

Dr. Erinomo, who previously served as the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), assumes the leadership role following the successful completion of an eight-year, two-term tenure by Professor Adekunle Ajayi.

The formal transition took place during a valedictory period in late December 2025, which included a series of commemorative events such as a valedictory lecture and dinner held on December 18, 2025. During these proceedings, Professor Ajayi formally transferred the hospital's leadership baton to Dr. Erinomo, encouraging him to lead with divine guidance and a commitment to institutional excellence.

In his inaugural New Year message to the "FETHI Family," Dr. Erinomo expressed gratitude to the hospital's board and staff for their dedication. He urged the community to approach 2026 with "resilience and renewed hope" as they continue to provide compassionate healthcare services
