Federal University Dutse Expels 20, Rusticates 15 Students Over Examination Malpractice

According to the university’s official weekly newsletter, 20 students have been expelled while 15 others were rusticated following recommendations from the Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct. In addition, two students were exonerated and three received written warnings.

The sanctions were applied in accordance with the university’s approved categories of offences and corresponding punishments, covering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The affected students come from various faculties and departments across the institution, the statement added.
The university reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice, urging all students to strictly adhere to academic rules and regulations to maintain the integrity of its educational programmes.
