Federal University Lokoja Announces New Guidelines for Visits to Vice Chancellor’s Office

The management of Federal University Lokoja has issued new operational guidelines regulating visits to the Office of the Vice Chancellor in a move aimed at improving orderliness, efficiency, and the management of official engagements.

According to a statement released by the university, the policy applies to both members of the university community and external visitors, and is intended to ensure that all official visits are properly coordinated and attended to within a structured schedule.

Under the new arrangement, official visiting days to the Office of the Vice Chancellor are set for Tuesdays and Thursdays, with working hours concluding at 5:00 p.m. daily. Visitors are expected to plan their engagements strictly within these designated days and timeframes, except where prior arrangements have been approved.

The university further specified that visiting hours will run between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on approved days, emphasizing that adherence to the schedule is necessary for effective service delivery and administrative efficiency.

In addition, visitors are required to wait at the designated waiting area of the Vice Chancellor’s Office rather than in the Secretary’s office, as part of efforts to maintain proper workflow and office organization.

The management also reminded all visitors of the need to maintain appropriate decorum and orderly conduct while on university premises, noting that professionalism and respect remain essential expectations during official engagements.

The university explained that the guidelines are designed to streamline access to the Vice Chancellor, reduce disruptions, and ensure that all visitors are attended to in a structured and timely manner.

Members of staff, students, and the general public have been advised to comply strictly with the directive in the interest of efficiency and institutional order.
