Federal University of Education Pankshin Holds Historic Maiden Matriculation for 2,196 Students
The Federal University of Education Pankshin has matriculated a total of 2,196 students for the 2025/2026 academic session as first set of 100 UTME and 200 Direct Entry students of the Institution.
The admitted candidates are spread and cut across the various Colleges namely: College of Education, Sciences, Languages, Arts and Social Sciences, Early Childhood Care Education and Primary Education Department ( ECCE/PED), Vocational and Technical Education, Adult Non- Formal and Special Needs Education.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor Professor Noel Nen'man Wannang who is the first Substantive Vice Chancellor of the Institution congratulated the matriculating students for having been found worthy of admission into the University.
As first and pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin, Professor Noel Nen'man Wannang said he is also encumbered with the challenge of setting the pace for others to follow; the challenge of laying a solid foundation for successors to stand on; the challenge of charting a roadmap for future glory; the challenge of creating a vision towards an Utopian destiny; and the challenge of clearing the thorny path for others to walk seamlessly on.
He implored the matriculating students to face squarely the purpose for which they have been admitted, stimulate intellectual discourse with well crafted ideas that are intellectually engaging and less sensational with a view to showcase scholarship.
Prof. Wannang while using the words of the famous American actor and film maker, Denzel Washington cautioned matriculants that, "Without commitment you can't start and without consistency you can't finish". He commended their commitment on embarking on the long tedious winding academic journey neither for the weak nor the faint-hearted.
While formally admitting the 2,196 students into the University community as authentic and bona-fide students of the Institution, the Vice Chancellor cautioned the newly admitted to be disciplined and hardworking.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,GCFR for the tremendous focus on education and for alleviating students financial demands through NELFUND Scholarship.
Earlier, while presenting the candidates for Matriculation and administering the oath of allegiance on the Matriculating students, Registrar of the University Mr. Yadok Longtong Godwill charged them to abide by all rules and regulations as well as contribute to the progress and protect the good image of the new University.
