Federal University of Lafia Honours Best Graduating Medical Laboratory Science Student

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), through its Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science, has honoured Rindap Tangwang Yaro as the Overall Best Graduating Student at the faculty level.

The honour, conferred under the Provost’s Award, was in recognition of Yaro’s exceptional academic performance, having graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.73.

The award was presented during the induction ceremony organised for graduating students of Medical Laboratory Science, held at the MIS Multipurpose Hall, Permanent Site Campus, FULafia.

Yaro’s achievement was described as a reflection of sustained dedication, academic discipline, and intellectual excellence throughout his period of study. Faculty members noted that he consistently demonstrated strong analytical ability and a deep commitment to learning, ranking his performance among the highest academic accomplishments recorded within the faculty.

Speaking during an interview, Yaro expressed gratitude to the University management, lecturers, and colleagues for providing an enabling environment that supported his academic journey. He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the ethics, standards, and professionalism of the medical laboratory science profession.

Members of the faculty and invited guests described the recognition as a source of inspiration to other students, stressing that the Provost’s Award remains a key instrument for promoting academic excellence, merit, and scholarship within the Federal University of Lafia.
