Former UNN SUG Aspirant Apprehended For Alleged Rape

A former SUG aspirant for the position of welfare director in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Ogbonna Emmanuel popularly known as 'Captain Emma' has been arrested for allegedly sexually molesting a student.

Myschoolnews reports Ogbonna, who was also aspiring for the post of the president of the Education Students Association (ESA) was apprehended by police officers over the weekend after the victim and her friends filed a formal complaint against him.

He is said to have lured the girl into his apartment before allegedly forcefully having his way with the student who was later discovered to have been a virgin.

The victim is said to have lost a lot of blood due to the unfortunate incident and it took lots of efforts by medical personnel to revive her after which she went to lay a formal complaint with security operatives.

The suspect had tried to flee the scene of the incident to evade arrest but he was successfully apprehended by the security operatives and is currently awaiting further punishment.
